  2. i'm looking forward to listening to the entire album as a whole now (was Timmy selling it to us, or what?). but damn, i hope Tim's still got some juice to back up all the talk he's been making these past couple of years because some of it (a lot of it) has been weak. i know i'm not saying anything new but the Petey track (if new) was a refreshing step back in the right direction for me. i hope he's working Missy's album in the same way.

  3. i dont know what you're getting at. You must have a short memory. What exactly has been weak?? If i would go through the tunes timbo has produced in the last year, some of them ended up being hits. Some of them didn't get that much publicity or are still yet to be released. As far as I'm concerned, I even liked the ones which were so called "weak".

Timbo is mixing up his style and I see no reason why he should change that.

  7. bilza--re: all the pop shit.
some of it is good. some beats are even inspired. but a lot has been lukewarm at best (first that comes to mind is the latest Pussycat Dolls). i'm not a rebel in saying this. it's been said over and over. i feel he's been wearing himself thin on a lot of stuff these past couple of years. that's why i can't wait to hear his new Missy stuff.

btw, i did say his comments about Chris' album being an album rather than individual songs has intrigued me back on track (but now it's got a 2009 release date? that's what popped up on the video. wtf? are they tweaking it? i thought it was done).

  10. Big A, I'm gonna have to disagree with you. AT TIMES Timbaland can live up to being a composer but I don't think he's solidified himself as one yet. (especially with his recent period of "stretching himself thin" or recycling).

Here's the direct link to the interview if anyone needs it.

  11. He's a great producer - obviously. But composing is something else dude. Scott Storch could call himself a composer, or Hans Zimmer or whoever plays an instrument. People who actually come up with their own melodies. Behind Tim's biggest hits, the melodies was always someone else (or a sample).

  12. timbaland is so cocky lol....neptunes are better "composers" than him, but we never heard them talkin off like him lol.....

  13. Composer = Producer, Producer = Composer

Very simple. Lets not add definitives.
